What is an Accounting System?
An Accounting System is a system used in a company to keep its books & records and to generate reports (e.g. Financial Statements). The Accounting System Module provided by the Art of The Balance works just like a normal accounting system, where you can record journal entries and run simple presentable reports.
How Does the File Work?
The file is very easy to navigate, there is an Instruction Tab in the file will also provide you additional help. In short, you can book entry in the Journal Entry – Input tab or Journal Entry – Input tab, and you can run reports anytime for your selected criteria (Entity and Period).

Setup
There are different fields you need to input in order to book an entry.
For Example, Entity ID, Account No., Investor ID, Investment ID, Vendor ID.
You can find the Account No. and all the IDs from the tabs below in the setup section.

Reporting
The Accounting System can generate reports for you to use/review.
In the Report tab, you can input your criteria and hit the Refresh Button, then the report will update itself.
The reports included in the module are below –

* These statements are well prepared and completely presentable. Please note that as an accountant, it is important to produce work that is well organized. For example, dollar signs should be on the first number and the last number, the accounts should be in a descending order by the amount.
Restrictions

When opening the file, you must click Enable Content on the top. This workbook is setup with Macro, Enabling Content will allow you to book entry and run report.

Do NOT change the file name. The file is set up not letting you to change the file name. Changing the file will crush the file and you will not be able to use the functions in the module. To make the file work again, simply change the name back to the original name.
